4 Ingredient Caramel Chocolate Bark

I’ve been on a hunt for SIMPLE recipes lately.  I came across this one and thought I would give it a try.  I’m including my own tips/suggestions. It was a big hit with my karaoke pals!

Salted Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Bark

Ingredients:

11 oz bag Kraft caramel bites, unwrapped

Sea Salt to sprinkle

12 oz bag semi sweet chocolate chips

8-10 oz mini pretzel twists

Directions:

1- Line a medium/average size baking sheet with parchment paper.  You need to be able to slide the whole thing off the sheet for cutting later.

2-  Melt 8 oz of the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl on 50% power.  Stir every 15 seconds until smooth.

3- Pour chocolate evenly over the parchment paper and spread with a spoon/spatula.  It may not go all the way to the edges, just make a rectangle that is roughly 9×12. Immediately lay the pretzel twists on top of the warm chocolate and gently press.

4- While this is setting, melt all of the caramels in a microwave safe bowl with 2 tablespoons of water. Stir every 20 seconds until smooth. It will be very hot! Drizzle over the top of the pretzels.  Next time I am going to pour caramel into a squeeze bottle to make for a neater layer of drizzle.

5-  Melt remaining chocolate chips the same way you did the first layer and then drizzle over the caramel.  Immediately sprinkle with sea salt.  Again, I am going to use a squeeze bottle for this step next time.

6- Put the whole tray in the refrigerator until it hardens, about an hour or so.  Slide paper off the tray and cut into pieces.  A pizza cutter works great for this step. No need to refrigerate once cut.

This easy to make recipe is sure to be a hit at your next family gathering, meeting, or party. ENJOY !!
